DATE FOR SECOND READING. IRISH I EADERS' CONFER WITH MR. ASQUITH. LONDON. 25th June. Under the Amending Homo Rule Bill, Londonderry and Belfast are treated as separate counties in voting for the exclusion. , Newry is included in County Down. Tho second reading of the Bill in the House of Lords has been fixed for Ist July. The Unionist leaders in the House of Lords conferred with Mr. Bonar Law (Leader of tho Opposition), and it is expected that the Unionists will indicate during the second reading tho amendments they propose to make during the Committee stage. A section of the party prefer to reject the Amending Bill. The Government will defer the second reading of the Home Rule Bill until the Amending Bill is disposed of. Messrs. John Dillon, John Redmond, andT. P. O' Connor _ (Irish leaders) interviewed the Premier (Mr. Asquith) privately in the House of Commons.
