Mr. Lloyd George (Chancellor of the Exchequer), replying in tho House of Commons on behalf of the Premier, said the Arms Proclamation applied to the whole of Ireland. Steps, which it was hoped would bo effective, had been taken for the enforcement of the proclamation. It was not proposed to make representations to Washington regarding shipments of rifles from the United States to Ireland.
