AUCKLAND, This Day. The Council of the Rugby League received a letter from the Wellington League suggesting, with » view to fostering the League gumA amongst juntoi 1 players in. Wellington, t'hot the council should finance a Wellington -junior team's visit to Auckland for the purpose of playing a junior representative match as a curtain-raiser to the teet match against the English team. In view of the fact that the New Zealand League is receiving only 35 per -cent, of the proceeds of the test match an 4 has to pay all expenses with tho sum thus gained, it was decided that the suggestion could, be acceded to. Messrs. W. Wynyaj-d (Auckland) and. W. J. Perrett (Tananaki) wrote accepting the position of selectors for the Ne\* Zealand team.
