OTAKI, This Day. At last week's meeting of the Town Board the question of street improvement was discussed, and it was decided to make /necessary arrangements for a loan poll. It was also decided to take a poll shortly on -the question of a highpressure water and lighting scheme. The question of rubbish bins in various pavta of the town was left in abeyance, One,of |the board's employees in the meanfitne being appointed to collect rubbish "from residences at a small fee to e&cp householder. Commissioner M'Kegg was_ deputed to attend a conference in Wellington to consider the advisability of improving , various roads and the deviation of certain railways. • . Commissioner Brown was ap-pointed-to represent the board to wait on the Wellington Hospital Board and request severance. The Borough Council launched into h new business channel last week: by inaugurating a moving picture business under muaicipal control^ ~"~,"
