GENERAL HAMILTON'S VISIT
IN WELLINGTON NEXT WEEK. General Sir lan Hamilton, InspectorGeneral of the Overseas Forces, will inspect the Auckland Coast Defences today, and will leave in the evening by train for Napier, arriving there to-mor-row night. On Saturday Sir lan will inspect the Hawkes'Bay Cadets at Hastings, and on Monday will proceed to Palmerston North, where he will review the Manawatu Cadets in the afternoon and be tendered a civic reception in the evening. Further cadet inspections will be made by the General at Wanganui on Tuesday and at New Plymouth on Wednesday, v On Thursday, 21st May, General Hamilton will leave New Plymouth for Wellington, arriving here at 7.23 p.m. During the following morning he will inspect the Wellington Coast Defences and witness the Garrison Artillery at big gun shootine, and in the afternpon at 4 o'clock will be tendered a civic reception in the Town Hall, dining with the Ministers of the Crown in the evening. On Saturday afternoon he will inspect the Wellington Cadets a-t Newtown Park, and in the evening will dine with the members of the Wellington Club. Monday, 25th May, will be devoted to the inspection of the cadets at Masterton, and on the following evening General Hamilton will attend the meeting of the Victoria League in Wellington. The General will make his final inspection in New Zealand on Wednesday, 27th May, when he will review the Marlborough Cadets at Blenheim. During his brief sojourn in Wellington Sir lan will be the guest of Major-Gen-eral Godley, Commandant of the Forces.
