BERHAMPORE
¦ NEW ORANGE LODGE. The institution of a new Loyal Orange Lodge, to be known as The Bible and Crown. Defenders, No. 68, took place in the Masonic Hall, Berhampore, last evening. R.W.D.M. Bro. R. H. Wilson presided, and there was an attendance of about 100. After the lodge had been duly constituted and the new candidates initiated, the installation of officers took place as follows: — Bro. S. R. Shanrion, W.M. ; Bro. J. R. Purdy, D.M. ; Bro. W. Lee, Secretary ; Bro. A. Butters, Treasurer; Bro. A. J. Bishop, Chaplain; Bro. W. Whiteley, S.D. ; Bro — Smith, J.D. ; Bro. J. Crawford, Tyler; Bro W.Barnes, F.C. ; Bro. H. T. Pitcher, Organist; Committee, Bros. Pitcher, Douglas, and Ryrie. At the conclusion of the installation, ceremony there was a banquet, at which the following toaats were proposed and responded to: — "The King and L.0.1.," proposed by the D.M. ; "The Grand Lodge," proposed by Bro. Andrews, responded to by P.G.M. Bro. Geo. Petherick ; "The District Lodge," proposed by Bro. J. R. Purdey, P.M., responded to by R. H. Wilson, D.M. ; "The New Lodge," proposed by Bro. Andrews and responded to by the W.M. ; and "The Visitors," responded to by the masters of visiting lodges.
