DOMESTIC TRAGEDY
MAN KILLS HIS TWO CHILDREN THEN CUTS HIS OWN THROAT. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) SYDNEY, 13th May. < After visiting friends with his wife and children, a man named George Cottie, 29 years of age, took his two sons, aged 5 and 3, respectively, for a walk. A few minutes later the three were found in a back lane, the man with his throat cut, and his two children lying dead beside him. Cottle is not expected to live. His wife is unable to give any cause for tho tragedy, although her husband previously threatened to kill her and the children. COTTLE WAS OF A JEALOUS DISPOSITION. AND SUFFERED FROM DEPRESSION (Received May 14, 8.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. On_ the whole, the Cottles lived fairly happily, though Cottle was of a jealous disposition, and had lately suffered from depression. A letter from a relative was found in his pocket upbraiding him for. his treatment of his wife.
