CRICKET MID-WEEK MATCHES

WON BY ARTILLERY. Tho final round of the senior midweek cricket competition took place yesterday on the Basin Reserve. The batting was rather poor. There were some good bowling performances, the most successful bowlers being Smith (Artillery), M'Girr, Beard, Cording, and Dempsey. Artillery won the competition with a record number of points. The following were the points scored : — Artillery, 26; Rivals, 14 j Union, 14; Oriental, 4.
