ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES (II TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
AUCKLAND, This Day. The weather was perfect for training operations at Ellerslie this morning. All "Work of importance was registered outside the course proper. Goldsize, the first out, rail seven furlongs in lmin 31 2-ssec. It was a great gallop. Tangiwai was better than Gloy "over the same- journey, done in lmin 35sec. Tragedy King was a length in front of Prince Soult over the same distance, run in lmin 36sec. Kakama made a hack of Zetes over a mile, in lmin 47 3-ssec. Merry Roe was a length in front of La Reina, with Bleriot four lengths away, at the end of a. mile at the new post, the time being lmin 45sec. Jack Dela val, not doing his best, ran seven furlongs in lmin 34 2-ssec. Soultikoff went once round in 2min 4sec. Castalia and Waiorewa were together at the end of five furlongs from the new post, tho time being lmin 6sec. Lord Lupin ran four furlongs in 52 l-ssec. Troy and Mullingar, going easy, were alongside Gold Necklet in a four furlong gallop, occupying 53 2-ssec. Fisher,, Tact, and Royal Irish ran separately at threequarter pace. After breakfast, Lady Alicia ran away from Miss Livonia over seven furlongs in 35 l-ssec. Christmas Rose beat -Kitty Bellairs over four furlongs in 52 l-ssec. Black Northern was schooled over a couple of hurdles and jumped well, but stuck np on the flat. Captain Jack and Santiago were schooled over the big fences, both getting over safely. A lot of others were also exercised.
