A LADY LOOPER.
Lady Victoria Pery. daughter of the Countess ot Limerick, looped the loop five times at the Hendon Aerodrome with Mr. Hamel. In describing her experiences. Lady Victoria said :— " Altogether we were in the air about half an hour and after ' doing stunts ' to test the machine, Mr. Hamel turned in his seat, and said, ' She's going splendidly ; we'll loop now.* And we looped, and it was over in ten seconds. We looped five times. It happens so quickly. My chief impressions are of the nose of the machine gradually rising until it is over you, and next, when you tak» your eyes off that, you are plunging upside down at Hendon. When we came down I was bitterly cold, and my fingers had to be nnclasped from the straps. "My nerves were perfectly steady during the loops; in fact, I've got no nerves; it wouldn't do, you know, to have them in looping. And also I have the utmost confidence in Mr. Hamel ; in fact, he is the only airman I hava flown with, and I have been flying now for a year." ' Lady Victoria said, in answer to a question, that she had no desire to be a pilot. " I should want to be ' doing stunts,' " she exclaimed, with a laugh, "and then I might break my neck "
