Nathan, in an'interview, referring to the recent strike, said that the whole business was a piece of political engineering for party purposes, stagemanaged "with a sort of Machiavellian,finesse. The Massey Government was making the same mistake as Napoleon, in obtaining control of the press. Only two metropolitan newspapers and a few in the smaller town were remaining definitely Opposition. Generally speaking, the great mass of the workers was op- ■ posed to the Maseey Government. ' .
