LODGE MEETINGS

The quarterly meeting of the Loyal Kilbirnie Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., was held in the All Saints' Schoolroom, Kilbirnie, on Tuesday last, P.G. Bro. Hardy presiding. A large number of visitors and members attended, including P.G.M. Bro. Guy. Lodge honours were accorded the visitors and responded to by P.G.M. Bro. Guy, who wished the lodge every success. Cards were indulged in, and a very pleasant evening was brought to a close at 10 o'clock. Court Sir George Grey, 3118, A.0.F., held its quarterly meeting at the Forester's Hall, Lambton-quay, Bro. P. E. Key, C.R.,' presiding. There was a very large attendance of visiting members to take part in the presentation of P.D.C.R. jewels to those members who had obtained the highest honours in Forestry. The following Courts were represented : Sir George Bowen, Robin Hood, Sir William Jervois, Loyal Northland, and Lady Glasgow. Members of the District Executive were also present. Bro. W. A. Worth, D.C.R., took the chair, and presented Bros. D. G. Mills, T. L. Coe, P. Fauvel, and P. M'Cumiskey with jewels. Bros. J. F. Adams, J. J. Harris, and D. Bkinner were unavoidably absent. Bro. W. A. Worth also gave an appropriate speech on the occasion, and those who had received medals replied. The Picnic Committee gave its report on the coming outing. Light refreshments were passed around, and a pleasant evening was spent. One candidate was proposed for membership.
