The Tasmanian Rowing Association has asked the New South Wales Association to support its application that New Zealand oarsmen be allowed to row in the Tasmanian crew at the forthcoming championships in Victoria. It is understood that the executive has replied to the effect that each competitor must sign the necessary declaration set out by the Inter-State Conference. This; revives, the question : Are New Zealand oarsmen amateurs according to the New South Wales definition?
