WELLINGTON V. THE WORLD The annual contest in which the Wellington Club pits its strength against the combined city and suburban clubs was played on Saturday in perfect weather. Thorndon > Roses : Upham, Nimmo, Petersen, Wilson (skip), 16; Stewart, Stanford, Hatch, Hogben (skip), 13. WELLINGTON CLUB RINK CHAMPIONSHIP. On Saturday evening the final for the Wellington Club's Ring Championship was played between DalPs and Porteous's teams, and ended in a victory for Dall by 24 to 15. The teams were :-— Ledger, Miller, Kelly, Dall (skip) j Kinvig, Leslie, Thompson, Porteous (skip). This is the second year in succession that Dall and his team have won the championship. On Saturday Dall went away with a good lead, scoring 12 on the first four heads! By the tenth head Porteous had succeeded in scoring 9, whilst Dall had only added 1. In the next three heads Dall brought his score to 17 ; then Porteous added a3, making his total 12. Dall's team then went ahead, and brought their total to 24 on the eighteenth head. Porteous got a 2 and a single, making him 9 down on the twentieth head. The last head was not played. The .winners were heartily congratulated on their second win. PETONE v. THORNDON.
