WELLINGTON CLUB. On the Wellington Club's court* on Saturday the challengie gatne, Wellington Club v. Lower Hutfc Club (present holders of the Junior Cup) was played, and resulted in an easy victory for th© latter by 6 rubbers, 12 set*, 81 games to 2 sets, 48 games. The Wellington «cam looked strong or* paper, but proved very much short of form, being outclassed in all department of the game by th«ir suburban opponents. Kirkcaldie, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2; Jackson and Power v. Bofldington and Harper, 6-4, 6-3; P.- Brown and/ C. Brown v. Columb and Kirkcaldie, 5-6, 6-1, 6-2. VICTORIA COLLEGE v. NEWTOWN. , In the inter-club matches, played at Newt-own, for the Ladies' Junior Championship, Victoria College challenged Newtown (holders), with the following Tesult (Newtown players mentioned first) :— Singles.— Miss Printzen v. Miss Mason, 7-3 ; Miss Veitch v. Miss G. Cooke, 7-1 ; Miss M'Lean v. Miss Taylor, 7-4 ; Miss Jenking v. Miss E. Cook, 7-5. Doubles.— Misses Printzen and Jenkins v. Misses Mason and G. Cooke, 7-5; Mis/ses Veitch and M'Lean v. Mietses Taylor and E. Cooke, 7-2. Newtown won 6 sets to nil, 42 games to 20 games, games.
