BANK FAILURE
THE PRESIDENT ARRESTED. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (Times— Sydney Sun Special Cables.) (Received February 11, 8.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, 10th February. The Mercantile Bank at Memphis has closed its doors. Tho deficit* is £150,000. It is alleged that the bank president misappropriated the money and lost it in speculations. Ho has been arrested on a charge of embezzlement.
