SAN FRANCISCO EXHIBITION
NEW ZEALAND REPRESENTATION. At tho monthly meeting of the General Committee of the Wellington Industrial Association last evening the question of New Zealand's representation at the San Francisco Exhibition was discussed. The Secretary (Mr. H. F. Allen) read a circular letter which had been sent to the association by the Prime Minister announcing the Government's intention to have samples of the Dominion's mining products sent to the Exhibition. He invited the President of the association to become a member of the Central Committee. , Mr. 1 . C. B. Norwood (president) said he fully appreciated the importance cf the Exhibition to growers of our primary products. Mr. Seaton said he did not think there would be much, if any, advantage to manufacturers in exhibiting — unless with the idea of getting medals. Mr. J. B. Laurenson, president of the Canterbury Industriaf Association, who was present by invitation, suggested that samples of mir iron ore deposits at Parapara and Taranaki ironsand should be sent.
