Crowded with close on 170 passengers, the union steamer Manuka arrived in Wellington from Sydney direct just before 10 o'clock this morning Medical inspection was carried out in the stream and two hours elapsed before the vessel berthed at No. 6, Queen's Wharf. The New South Wales port was left early on Saturday afternoon, and the run to Port Nicholson was favoured with fine weather. The passage was a thoroughly enjoyable one. though quite uneventful.
