Recently Lord Denman, the GovernorGeneral, asked the aviator Mr. Hawker to visit Government House, and jokingly suggested that he make his visit in his aeroplane. Yesterday, Mr, Hawker, from Elsternwick, flew over the city and gracefully dropped on a lawn where Lord and Lady Denman Were playing tennis. .WORLD'S AEROPLANE RACE. NEW YORK, Ist February. The second round of the world aeroplane race is to be limited to ninety days. The first prize will be £24,000, with ail additional £6000. (Times— Sydney Sun Special Cables.) Garaix, in a biplane took six passengers to a height of six thousand feet — a record.
