LODGE MEETINGS

» The installation of officers of tho Pacific Lodge, No. 8, U.A.0.D., took place on Monday evening, the ceremony being conducted by District President Bro. Boock, assisted by Past District Presidents Bros. Hargreaves and Allen. Special reference was made by the instailing officer to the lengthy period of Past Arch Bro. Binnie's treasurership, which was proof of the esteem in which he is held by the lodge. The visitors of the sick were also congratulated on having won the gratitude of those laid aside by sickness during the past twelve years. The lodgs expressed its regret at the termination' of office of Bro. Boock as District President and tendered its appreciation of the very able manner in which he has filled the position. The match for the trophy presented by Grand Treasurer Bro. Fletcher and held now by the Wellington Druids' cricket team will be played at Christchurch on Boxing Day.
