GREAT EXPLOSION
IN STREET OF A MEXICAN TOWN ONE HUNDRED PERSONS KILLED OR v INJURED MOSTLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (Received August 20, 11.50 a.m.) MEXICO CITY, 19th August. A car of dynamite standing in a street in the suburban district of Ta-cu-baya exploded. The explosion killed or injured one hundred persons, chiefly women and children. Thirty bodies have already been re* covered from wrecked buildings. Within fifty yards of the scene of the explosion not a single structure was left standing. The explosion is believed to have been I dtle to a collision between a loaded car ! with iron and the car containing the dynamite.
