At the wool sales, the following were the prices realised for the fleece portion of clips named: — "Glenness," top price lid per lb, overage price 10{}d ; "Manns," Hid and lOgdj "Karateraine," 21d and 20d. COMPETITION 1 FOR MERINOS. (Received July 7, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 6th July. There were small selections of merinos at the wool sales, and good competition. The following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the clips named : — "Monte," top price lOd, average 9£d ; "Arawa" ll£d and 10£ d; "Richmond,"' Hid and lid; "Rua," 12d and ll^d ; "Ox Creek," 12id and ll£d; "Waimai," 13d and HJd ; "Argyle," 13d and 12f d. There has been catalogued 50,177 bales and sold 42,692.
