To morrow the Evening Post's fourth annual special illustiated Palmerston North Winter Show number will be issued. As usual the issue contains a wide variety of attractive articles. Special attention is paid to the dairy industry, and there are some interesting reminiscences of early settlers.
The estimates for the Lower Hutt Borough Council for tho current yeal were adopted at a meeting held last night, subject to certain alterations. The rates for the current year are to aggregate the same amount as last year, namely 3 3-5 d in the £j. The annual general meeting of the St. John Ambulance Association 13 to be held this evening in the Sydney-street hall. The awards to Wellington students will h*» presented at the meeting. The Hon. R.
