CLAIM FOR SURVEY WORK

♦ Hearing was continued before Dr. M'Arthur, S.M., to-day in the case in which Messrs. Seaton and Sladden, surveyors, sued the Maranui Land Syndicate for £55 19s, for services rendered in connection with the survey of certain streets in Miramar. The defendants counter-claimed for £101 2s 3d, damages for alleged negligence in the preparation of plans, etc. Mr. A. W. Blair appeared for the plaintiffs, and Mr. T. Young for the defendant company. The cJaim was admitted, and the defence on the Counter-claim was a denial of negligence. * It was further contended that, having undertaken to do the work itself, the company was responsible for ahy mistake which arose. His Worship reserved his decision.
