STATE OF AFFAIRS IN EGYPT LESS PARTY STRIFE WHAT LORD KITCHENER HOPES FOR. By Telegraph.— Press Afisociation.—Copyrlght. (Received May 27, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 26th May. Field-Marshal Lord Kitchener, British Agent and Consul-General in Egypt, in his report on Egypt, emphasises a marked diminution in party feeling and party strife and greater confidence in the Government, particularly among the silent mass of the people. He hopes the population will soon again be closely united and co-operating for the common good.
