SALE OF WORK

m The sale of work promoted by the Ladies' Guild of St. Anne's Church, Northland', was opened yesterday afternoon by the Mayoress. The hall was gaily decorated and the stalls well supplied with useful and in some cases palatable articles. Fairly brisk business was done during the afternoon and evening, and the amusements, competitions, art gallery, and fairy well were largely patronised. These will be kept going to-night, and in addition there will be a concertjprogramme. The refreshment stall-holders are supplying an excellent supper.
