(by telegraph— specml to the post.) OTAKI, This Day. Wednesday was somewhat of a gala day for the town. Besides several picnics — chief among them being those of the Anglican and Methodist Sunday Schoolsthere Were present bowlers from Hataitai and tennis players from Victoria College. The bowlers suffered defeat, but the Collegians won easily. Tho afternoon was perfect, but heavy rain fell in the morning.
