THE INDIAN OFFER
SAID TO BE GREATLY EXAGGERATED. LONDON, Bth December. Prince Hakur Sahib Shri Jossrasinghi of Seesodia, in an interview, said that the Indian proposal was greatly exaggerated. What was contemplated was two battleships, costing £4,000,000, provided by the princes alone. The idea behind the offer was that if India participated in the Empire's de' fence it would lead to the better treatment of Indian interests in some of the colonies. i . ,
