ROBBERS IN SYDNEY MAN REMANDED.

George Cooling, the perpetrator of the hotel sensations, was remanded on charges of stealing £2 from Durrack's Hotel, and of maliciously shooting at the younger Durrack. He was allowed bail in £500. Cooling nrged that he had been drinking and was not responsible for his actions. He had not intended to steal or do anything else. SIX FURTHER CASES REPORTED. POLICE PATROLS BEING STRENGTHENED. (Received September 21, 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Six further robberies are reportedj jewellery and clothing to the value of £140 being involved. Two men were returning horSe last niaht whea they were assaulted and robbed. The ordinary police patrols have been strengthened and a night patrol, similar to Melbourne's, is being hastily organised.
