UNDERBID AMERICAN SHELLMAKERS
AN INDIGNATION MEETING. By Telegraph.— Prew Association,— Copyright. (Received September 21, 1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, 20th Sept. A British company underbid every United States projectile foundry for a large contract. In consequence United States shellmakers held an indignation meeting, and refused to continue making shells unless an American firm got the contract. To the pressure the Government surrendered.
