TO TUB EDITOB. ' Sir,— Under the above heading you imply inactivity on the part of the Arts Club in connection with city beautifying. Last Arbor Day the Mayor invited citizens to meet on tho Town Belt to plant trees. On that day tho president and another member of the Arts Club were the only persons who turned up in response to that invitation. The weather was so bad that the ceremony was postponed, On tho occasion of the actual planting of the hundred trees the president and another member of the Arts Club were thei-o again amongst the very few citizens who graced the ceremony with their spades and presence. — I am. etc..
