FRENCH CONCENTRATION SCHEME EIGHTEEN BATTLESHIPS AND SIX CRUISERS. By Telegr»ph.— Press Association.— Copyright. PARIS, 11th September. M.' Delcasse, Minister of Marine, announces that six battleships will be transferred from the Brest station to the Mediterranean in the middle of October, giving Admiral Lapejrrere a fleet of eighteen battleships and six large cruisers. ' The newspapers approve of the completion of the concentration scheme. Lo Temps says it may be assumed that the English, Russian, and French fleets will have duties and sphere* of action that have been mutually agreed uponby their respective Government*. Russian warships, holding the Baltic, will' be able to prevent a general concentration of German ships in the North Sea; while the duty of France will be to deal with Austria and Italy. Messrs. E. Johnston and Co. will hold a continuation of the three days' sale of sterling silver and c.p. ware, leather goods, jewellery, etc., in. their rooms, without reserve, to-morrow and Monday, 13th and 16th September, commencing at 11 o'clock each day. On Saturday morning, at 10 o'clock, on the premises. No. 18, Willis-street, the firm will sell by public auction the contents of Kia Ora Dining Rooms.
