CUSTOMS RETURNS
The Customs revenue collected in Wellington last month compares unfavourably with that of tho corresponding month last year. The figures are:— July, 1912. £59,533 7s 4d ; July, 1911, £86,342 12s. The reepectiTe figures for the beer excise duty are as follow:— £1023 0s 3d and £922 19b ' 3d.
