BRUTAL ATTACK ON A GIRL. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received July 11, 11 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Alfred Sylvester, aged twenty -one, attempted to assault & girl aged seventeen on Saturday, near Biggenden. He struck her on the head with a bottle and a pocket-knife. The girl stated she crawled for a quarter of a mile, and was found on Sunday morning in a critical condition. Sylvester was found in the yard of, an hotel, suffering from lysol poisoning. He died on Monday.
