WAITOMO CAVES

The manager of the Waitomo Government Hostol has reported to the director of the Tourist Department (Mr. B. M. Wilson) the di&covery of a new chamber, which will lend an added charm to this popular .resort. •. Following a passage off the main cave near the "Organ Loft," the manager and guide hare opened up a chamber from 2£ to 3 chains in length full of beautiful^ stalactites and stalagmites, differing in many respects from those in in tho main cave and with a floor which is a mass of wonderful formations. The new find will be properly opened up at' once, and will prove a valuable addition to the manifold wonders of tho caves district, which is easily reached from the Main Trunk line from Wellington to Auckland.
