DEMOCRATIC BRITAIN

m THE TASK BEFORE HER INSURANCE ACT BUT A BEGINNING By telegraph.— Press Association — Copyright, (Beceived July 1, 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, 30th June. In hia speech at Woodford, on the Insurance Bill, Mr. Lloyd George said: "We boast of the largest Navy in the world, the greatest commerce by land and sea, the greatest mercantile marine, tko greatest Empire. When shall we think it worth while boasting that our Empire .has the happiest , people, free from poverty? The terrors of children crying aloud for bread in front of you is the biggest task democratic Britain ever had to undertake. We have got to free the land from the shackles and chains of feudalism, from that which is a shame and a disgrace to the richest country in the world. The Insurance Act is a, beginning. With God's help it is but a beginning."
