PROSPERITY, BUT LOW . MORALE. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. MELBOURNE, 12th June. A metropolitan paper declares that the turf was never more prosperous ; yet it is doubtful if its morale was ever at a lower ebb. There may be no jockeys' ring, but cliques of riders collision each other, and it is suspected that occasionally owners are taken down by them. UNIFORM RULES. (Received June 13, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Australian Jockey Club, the Victoria Racing Club, and other leading clubs in other States, have adopted, a uniform set of Rules of Racing, to operate from 12th November next.
