The report of the State Statistician shows that the manufactories and works in New South Wales number 5043, an increase of 220 on the figures for the previous year. The employees number 108,777, an increase of 9031. Males employed total 82,258, an increase of 6839, and females 140,519, an increase of 2192. Wages , totalled £10,044,494, an- increase of £1,353408.
