ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS
The Wellington Accountant Students' Society held its monthly meeting lust might in the Chamber of Commerce. The 'lecturer was Mr. H. E. Evans, 8.A., ■LLuM., v/ho addressed the members on '"Prospectuses.' 1 The subject was an important one to commercial men, and it was cleverly and' exhaustively dealt ■with. Members of the New Zealand Society of Accountants wero present, at tho invitation of the Students' Society. Mr. E. W. Hunt ' occupied the chair, and ihern vrua a good attendance of members. On ihe motion of Mr. n. D. Edwards, beconded by Mr. T. Forsyth, iho lecturer was accorded a hearLy vote of thanks.
It was decided by Cabinet yesterday ihat a section of land for a post office be pufchased at Miramar. The exact nite hap, however, not yet been decided ■upon. Messrs. Whitcombe Pym, motor ■engineers, Vivian-street, advertise a hillclimbing contest on novel lines, and _iu,vite enthusiasts to enter. No admission lee is charged. Applications are invited for the position of Medical Inspector of tichoola.
