"BROUGHT TO RUIN"
INCIDENT IN A PLAY OBJECTION RAISED REPLY BY THEATRICAL MANAGEMENT. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received June 7, 10 a.m.) t SYDNEY, This Day. The Chief Secretary objected to an incident in the play at the Adelphi Thoatre, " Brought to Ruin," where a child is supposed to bo asphyxiated with a towel. George Marlow's management states that the play was read by - the Censor in England, passed by the Lord Chamberlain, and produced extensively there.
