HASTINGS, This Day. On the tracks this morning Merry Lad was better than Silvia over six furJongs, done in lmin 20sec. Prince Soult beat Mozella over the same distance in lmin 18isee. Vi and Easy were companions over five furlongs, the former finishing first. Ariom, Meremere, and Te Puia finished in that order over seven furlongs in lmin 32sec ; Theodore aid six in lmin 18sec, and Thrave was better than Stellaris- over five furlongs in lmin 4sec. Amato, minus his front shoes, easily beat Merrimac over six furlongs in lmin 17 2-sEec. Midnight Sun, with a Signalman filly, ran six furlongs in lmin 18 2-ssec. Before breakfast Bon Soir and Culprit were together at the end of five ftu longs in lmin 3£sec. Bon Ton and Obligant covered four in 52^sec, and Heatherbrae six furlongs in lmin 17£seq. .
