ST. PATRICK'S.
NEW COLLEGE SITE PURCHASED AT PALMERSTON NORTH. ("»■? TELEGEAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON. 28th April. The authorities of St. Patrick's College, Wellington, have purchased from Mr. Charles Hawkins one hundred acres *t Terrace End, including the fork between the junction of the main trunk and Hawkes Bay railways, for a site for St. Patrick's College, which is -to be removed fiom Wellington within the next four yea-re, on the sale of the valuable site now occupied, which is too small for exijansion. Thirty acres is within the borough _ of Palmerston and seventy juat outside it. It is situated on high land, admirably adapted for the purposes of large playing grounds and a farm. It is understood that the institu-, tion will include an agricultural, dairying, and fruit-growing college, and will be one of the largest institutions in the dominion.
