HARRIERS.
WELLINGTON. CLUB. The Wellington Harriers, with a large mu6ter, held -then- weekly run from the Thorndon Baths on Saturday. The trail led through Queen's Park, thence to tha top of Wadestown Hill. From there, Ngaio was reached via the hills. . The trail continued along Ngaio-road, and the run back to the baths -was made down the zig-zag to the Hutt-road. A run in of 100 .yards was won by Donaldson, Bennett , second, . and M'Dowell third. Among the new members, Ashford, Arthur, and Donaldson showed up well. Next Saturday's run takes place from Lyall Bay. BROOKLYN. Th© Brooklyn Harriers ran on Saturday from Messrs. Coventry Bros.' residence at Brooklyn. In spite of the boisterous weather eighteen, members turned oat, there being again a. fair number of new members. The ta - ail was laid by Messrs. E. A. Shaw andl G. M'Phnn, and the ridgets between Brooklyn and Happy Valtey, which were selected, made the going pretty fast. A handicap run in of about 300 yds resulted in A. S. 011iwr being first, M&fcteraon second, and C. Murray third. The runners then enjoyed uiternoon tea, thanks for which are due to Messrs. W. and T. Coventry. The run -next Saturday -will be from Ihonuion Bathe, wh«ri Messrs. P Wilton and A. S. Olliver will lay the trail.
