Selwyn beat Poneke by six points to nil. A. M'Phee and A. Stotb scored for the winners. Petone (14) beat Southern (0). Melroee beat Wellington by 13 points to 3. Athletic beat St. John's by 19 points to nil. Wilton (2). Ryan, Woodcock, and Watkins scored tries, Madden converting two of them. Oriental defeated Victoria College by 9 points to nil. Porirua were beaten by St. James by 20 points to nil. Tries were obtained by Outtrim (2). O'Sullivan (2), Cairns, and Dobson. Binnie converted one try. THIRD CLASS Selwyn beat Wadestown by 9 points to 5. Scorers for Selwyn were — Casey (two penalty goals) and Rouse (one St. Patrick's College and Oriental played a drawn game, each scoring 8 points.
