CONSPIRACY CHARGE FAILS
SINGER COMPANY FRAUDS CASE. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright, SYDNEY, 24th April. The ti'ial of Francis D. Brown and John MacPherson, on joint charges of conspiring to defraud the Singer Sewing Machine Company of divers large sums of money, concluded to-day in, the Criminal Court. Both were found not guilty on the charge of conspiracy, and Brown was discharged ; but MacPherson was tomtinded till Monday on a further charge of stealing £5497 of the Singer Company's moneys.
