There are 84- gueal rooms at the Empire, and the increasing growth of the business rendered tho elevator indispensibic. ' Providing the bucineEß waiTanla it, provision line now been made for, building anolher tstorey within tho next twelve mouths. A new supper room has been provided by Jtho alterations on the ground floor ako a luxuriotifcly furnished lounge for both' ladies and gentlemen, and available for private parties, receptions, afternoon teas, or other similar purposes. A great deal of money has been' spent too on renovation of furnishings and rcdecoration of th© intenor generally.
