SOUTHERLY GALE DUE.
The westerly disturbance has brought unpleasant weather conditions generally, but Mr. Bates, Government Meteorologist, forecasts that the present westerly wind 9 aro likely to give place to a southerly gale and colder weather before daybreak to-morrow, with snow on the high levels.
