NEW ZEALAND LABOUR PARTY
CONFEBENCE CONCLUDED. The conference of the New Zealand Labour Party was brought to a dose today, Mr. W. H. Hampton presiding. MB. A. W. HOGG. It was announced by Mr. W. H. Hampton that Ttfr. A. W. Hogg had joined the Masterton branch of the party, and had signed the old pledge. APPBECIATION. High appreciation of the services of the Hou J. T. Paul, president of the Unity Conference, Mr. D. G. Sullivan, secretary, and Professor Milk, organiser, ■was expressed by Mr. J. A. M'Cullough! It was agreed that the tact, of Mr. Paul brought the matter to a successful issue much quicker than anyone else would have done. A motion embodying the sentiments expressed was carried unanimously. Mr. E. J. Carey remarked that one effect of the Unity Conference was that Messrs. W. A. Veiteh, J. Robertson, and A. H. Hindmarsh were now members of the United Labour Party. (Hear, heqr.) A NEW NAME. A discussion ensued concerning the selection of a, ne-w name for the organ-ai-at-ion, and it was decided that each branch be called the — Political Liranch of th-o Uniied Labour Parly.
