AUCKLAND, 9th ApriL On Sunday last, three labourers who are engaged on road works at Epsom, had a quarrel, and one of them, Paul Haller, an Austrian, it' is alleged, drew a knife and attempted to stab one of the othera named Arthur Thomas. .Luckily, the knife was very blunt, and did not do a great deal of execution, a small wound on the arm being the only damage done. At the' Police Court Haller pleaded not guilty to having assaulted Thomas by stabbing him with a knife. On the application of the police he was remanded until 15th | ApriL .
