Owing to Good Friday, sth April, being & close holiday the s.s. Ulimaroa will sail for Sydney on Thursday, 4th April, at 5 p.m. Mails for* despatch by her close at 3.30 p.m. The next best das-patch for Continent of Europe and United Kingdom will be via Brin,diw, closing at Wellington, per Ulimaroa, on Thursday, 4th April, at 3.80 p.m. On Good Friday the Postal Department will be closed in all its branches. Maila by steamers sailing on Good Friday will close at 8 p.m. on Thursday, 4th inst. The only despatched! by trains on Good Friday will be for the Wairarapa., Manawatu, Wanganui, and Taranaki districts., closing at 6.30 a.m.; also Eawkes Bay and Auckland, closing ab 8 a.m. There will be no day clearance of the city and suburban receivers, but the night clearance will be made as usual. There will be no deliveries by letter-carriers, but on the previous evening and Saturday evening there will be a delivery over the counter at the Chief Post Office between 8.30 and 9.80 p.m., only for correspondence addressed to the Post Office; and at the old Drillshed, Muginnitystieat, between 8.30 and 9.30 p.m., for correspondence which la delivered by lettercarrier. On Thursday the parcels delivery counter at old Drillshed will be open from i 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. On Good Friday mails are not expected to arrive from outside the 'Dominion. On Baturday, 7th inst., letter-carriers wi|l make two full deliveries, closing at the Chief Yost Office at 7.40 a.m. and 1.40 p.m. On Easter Monday the Post Office will be open in all its branches (except the Moneyorder Department) from. 9 to 10 "a.m. Mails by steamers sailing on that day will close at 8 a.m. The only despatches by trains will be for the Wairarapa, Manawatu, Wanganui, and Taranaki districts, closing at 6.30 a.m., and for Hawkes Bay and Auckland, closing at 8 a.m. There will be no day clearances of Ithe city and suburban receivers, and no deliveries by letter-carriers. Malls for Fiji close at Auckland, per Hauroto, Wednesday, 10th April, at 12.45 p.m. . The next best despatch for Canada, United States of America, Central America, West Indies will be via Fiji, Fanning Island, Honolulu, and Vancouver, closing at Wellington, per Main Trunk train, Thursday, Uth mst., at 10.50 a.m.; late fee at Chief Post Office 11.5 ajn. ; late fee at mail van a,t 11.50 a.m. Mails for Canada, United States of America, Central America, AVest Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, via Fiji, Fanning Island. Honolulu, and Vancouver, close at Auckland, per Marama, Friday, 12th iasL, at 1.30 p.m. All books and sample packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter mail closes. , Money orders for abroad must be obtained two hours before the advertised time of closing mails. , UnleßS otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels-post packages must be handed in and money orders obtained one hour before the ordinary mail closes. All the principal mails by train and steamer close at Te Aro and Cotirtenay-place Post Offices at the same hours as at the Chief Post Office, with the exception that there 1* no late-fee clearance.
